Will the application of Bioprotec lawn herbicide for clover affect the surrounding grass?
Following the application of the herbicide, a slight yellowing of the grass can be observed. This discoloration should disappear within three weeks following the treatment, depending of the season and the number of treatments, and the grass should quickly regain vigor. It is also recommended to mow your lawn 48 hours after the treatment.

How many times should I treat my lawn with the Bioprotec Lawn Herbicide to get rid of the clover?
It is recommended that you treat your lawn up to 14 days until you get the desired results. Clover can stock a lot of energy in its roots and you must apply the product until these reserves are deprived.

Don’t forget to overseed in the spot left by the Clover if you want to prevent other weeds from filling the spot before the grass is settled in.

Does Bioprotec Lawn Herbicide work on Clover flowers too?

There is no need to dilute the content of the 4L refill since the product inside is already at its optimal concentration. All you need to do is transfer the content from the refill container into you sprayer.

When used according to label directions, this product is not expected to pose a significant risk for you domestic animal. In fact, the citric and lactic acids (which are the active ingredients) are the product of the fermentation of Lactobacilli which are already present in the human food chain and regularly found in the foods you eat.

Is there a difference between Bioprotec Nem Spring and regular Bioprotec Nem?
Bioprotec Nem Spring is a nematode product that is composed of two different Canadian strains that are known to be more resistant to colder temperatures and therefore more efficient in the early spring. Heterorhabditis bacteriophora and Steinernema carpocapsae are combined for optimal results. We recommend that you use the Bioprotec Nem Spring for your first application, or if it is one of those colder seasons. Bioprotec Nem Spring nematodes are active when the soil temperature reaches 10°C. This product is only available in April.

How do nematodes work? How many applications are required?
Nematodes are microscopic worms that parasite certain insect larvae, such as the Japanese beetle larvae and the Rose chafer larvae. They penetrate into their host and cause rapid death. There is no risk of bioaccumulation and their application is without danger for humans, mammals, birds and the environment.
For efficient treatment of white grubs, two applications are required; a first application early spring, when the larvae feed on grass roots and another treatment early fall, so as to cover the larval stage of the new generation. If you are looking to use nematodes for other insects, please refer to the table below for application dates:

The Bioprotec nematode sprayer is specially designed to be used with microscopic nematodes.
